HMA was given the Platinum PR Award for Multicultural Campaign of the Year. The CDC launched NIVDP to reduce flu vaccination coverage disparities affecting African American, Hispanic and American Indian/Alaska Native communities. The award recognized the successes of the campaign to engage more than 500 partners in 45 target markets to raise awareness about the flu, a vaccine-preventable illness that burdens the United States with lost lives and millions in medical costs and lost productivity.

HMA won the Gold MarCom Award for E-newletter for developing Influential News an digital monthly newsletter that featured 41 stories about the CDC National Influenza Vaccination Disparities Partnership. Stories highlighted the successes of grassroots leaders to promote healthy vaccine practices.
